I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1999. I trained in Australia and have worked in private practice for the majority of my career in both Australia and the UK. I have worked for a number of high-profile practices including Six Physio in London and Bodies Under Construction in Chiswick. I have experience with both elite and amateur sports, west end dance and performance artists, and the British Army.
I have an undergraduate degree in physiotherapy and a masters degree in manual therapy so my treatments are largely hands-on. I can tailor treatment to each individual and use a variety of techniques to achieve resolution of pain injury. I employ the biopsychosocial model of medical management and assess all the factors that may impact an individual's pain and dysfunction including sleep, work, home life, stress and activity levels. I am trying to practice what I preach and create a balance of work, family and self-care.
I love working with interesting or complex conditions. Often patients have seen a number of different practitioners and are looking for greater clarity in diagnosis, planning, and results. I have post-graduate specialisations in physiotherapy of persistent or chronic pain and in the management of pregnancy and post-natal pain.
My goal is to change the way you think about pain and injury working with the mind and body.
